I've been doing the process of elimination by replacing spark plugs, plug wires and rotor cap, the rotor itself is still good. Basically P0301 is an issue with cylinder 1. The typical issue is the coil pack, but on these V6 engines it has been lots of things. If you can operate a socket wrench and remove the coil pack and swap it to cylinder 3 that will give you an idea of the coil pack is bad. You should pull the spark plugs as well to check on the condition.
